She began exploring her creative side when she moved to
New York
, attending courses at Parson’s
School
of
Design
, taking portrait painting, drawing, and color theory at Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, local painting classes, and intensive summer programs in clay, painting, and drawing. She has won blue ribbon awards for the very competitive “Shad Fest” poster contests held every year in
Lambertville
,
New Jersey
and has provided artwork for F.A.C.T., an organization helping AIDS victims.
She shares her drawing and painting as well as offers seminars and training on thinking with both sides of the brain from her unique perspective as a business executive and as a hobby artist. Her artwork combines mixed media and clay. These "Picture Sculptures" look almost real (but not quite). She's an avid "rookie" photographer, sharing her view from the other side of the lens for those who enjoy nature, pets and people watching.
She demonstrates her concern for environmental factors leading up to the endangerment of these wonderful creatures. "I feel compelled to save as much of a footprint as I can", she explains. She also has exhibited her charity donations at ARTizens gallery in New Hope, along with individual pieces shown in favorite New Hope eateries.
